Pollen Identification Cards

A set of eight laminated cards designed for pollen identification outdoors in the apiary. A useful tool for beekeepers. Each laminated card depicts the pollen colours of up to 10 plants that are the commonest pollen sources for each month through the season. There is additional information about the flowering season of each plant on the reverse. The cards can be used as a set or separated so that only the card for the month is taken to the apiary. The pollen load colours are based on those in the larger book A Colour Guide to the Pollen Loads of the Honey Bee by William Kirk. The plant species are relevant to the UK and most of northern Europe.
